This program is a hiring tool, used to recruit for Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners supplemental workforce.
The goal of the STTAR Program is to promote and support employees assigned to our supplemental workforce employment statuses with reassignment to a regularly scheduled full-time and/or part-time position. Promoting a win/win/win result for the Board of County Commissioners, County Departments, and Employees.
We offer temporary opportunities across a variety of departments within the County. Some positions are on an as-needed basis with varied hours while other positions are forty hours per week for six months or more.
There are six (6) different positions that have been built into the STTAR Program. These are listed below:
Provides administrative support services to division or department staff personnel. Is responsible for a variety of administrative functions. Work is usually performed under immediate supervision.
Performs entry-level maintenance work in roadway drainage construction, asphalt placement, custodial, cleaning of buildings, grounds, facilities, lawns. Work includes manual tasks that do not require any particular degree of manipulative skill or previous experience. Work is usually performed under immediate supervision.

The classification will be determined by the Human Resources Department based on the specific business needs defined by the requesting department.
